Today, we're going to talk about a topic that's becoming increasingly important in our digital age: A.I. scams.

A.I. scams are fraudulent schemes that use advanced artificial intelligence technology to deceive and defraud unsuspecting victims.

These scams can take many forms, from fake investment opportunities to phishing attacks, where the perpetrator may call or email you about a balance or payment due, prompting you to click a link or provide personal information, granting them access to your account.

It's crucial to stay vigilant and aware of these scams, as they can lead to significant financial losses or even identity theft.

Some of the newest methods of A.I. scams are in the form of phone calls where the caller will ask, "Can you hear me?" in effort to prompt you to say "Yes".

This is so they can clone your voice.

The more they can get you to speak, the easier it is to clone your voice.

Another popular scam is getting a phone call from someone claiming to be a friend or loved one, using their cloned voice.

Put the call on speaker phone and immediately text the friend or loved one in question.
AND
Ask them to hold on and call the friend or loved one directly.

Another great idea is to come up with a code word with friends and loved ones.

Avoid accepting calls from blocked or anonymous numbers and providing personal information to unverified contacts.

If you get a strange phone call from someone claiming to from a business you deal with, get their full name or employee ID and call the business back directly, through the verified business number, asking if they were attempting to get in touch with you.

Technological advances have made life a lot easier and convenient in many ways, unfortunately, these same advances have also introduced elaborate and complex scanning techniques that we need to be aware of.
